Innovation happens at all stages of the business lifecycle and is not just confined to high tech startups.
Many innovation programs focus solely on startups but that's only the beginning of the story, the growth stage is more challenging. High growth small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) are a vital part of any economy. Scale-up programs can make a massive impact on business growth and job creation across all sectors of the economy, not just high tech firms.
A report by Deloitte - The Scale-up Challenge - highlights that higher rates of productivity in high growth firms are dependent on five factors, including improving skills levels, fostering innovation and encouraging investment to underpin growth.

MENTORING TO BOOST GROWTH
Colin Graham works closely with a limited number of directors of small to mid sized businesses to facilitate a business planning process to establish a clear business focus, direction and opportunities for innovation.
Initial planning sessions are followed up with mentoring meetings on a bimonthly or quarterly basis to review progress, discuss issues and the way forward.
We also assist these businesses to access grant and investor funding to support their strategic growth. Locally, Advance Queensland offers a suite of programs to support growing businesses, including Accelerate Small Business Grants Program and the Ignite Ideas Fund.
